69 GTX drivers side headliner clip?

Just cleaning parts and honestly don't remember this clip labeled "drivers side headliner clip" which may mean it fell out when I was pulling down the headliner....

Any idea what it is, what's it for and is it wrecked? Kind of has Spike nubs on the back and the clip piece comes out. The back plate is bent, should it be flat?

That is for the rear sail panel. It would have been attached to the cardstock.

Ok. Sail panels were already out. I need new sail panels, will I get new clips? It seems like this one would have been ripped out and is maybe not usable again?

If I remember correctly, the repop sail panel boards for mine had clips ( slide in style used on door panels, not like the original.) I kept mine anyway just in case.

Another question... The headliner clips that the bow pieces go into....
They were green until I soaked them in the evapo-rust!
Is it just paint or is it some other coating?
