I am rewiring a 69 Ply wagon and am currently working on the ignition switch. Some one pulled the power wire out of the housing and thus damaged it so that the tag on the new connector cannot "grab", so the connector just pushes back out.

Does anyone know of a source for a new housing or even have any ideas on how to repair or fix something like this? Normally I just replace the plastic housing with one from a donor car or buy a new one if repoped but this does not seem to be available. Of course I could just attach the wires individually but I really would prefer not to do that.

Appreciate any ideas or leads.

I think is not reproed and sold separatelly, just buying the harnesses from manufacturers. Maybe they could sell it to you separately ( Evans? MH ? )

Yes I apply the same, getting from JYs donors when I have got that kind of problem. Myself have got 2 or 3 all hacked up harnesses for a diversity of Mopars and getting donor pieces as spare.

The next solution, insert the terminal in place and fill the cavity with epoxy ( I made it couple of times ). Not conected of course. Epoxy in clay presentation will allow a cleaner installation saving from get all the terminal filled in.

Greatly appreciate it. I am going to try a couple of fixes today, if they don't work or I don't like them I will definitely reach out.

Thanks for the information, I may give that a try, I have one more idea that I am going to try.

Post a picture of what you need, I have some pre-’70 ignition switches, some with pigtails attached. Relatively close to you it appears.

So I was about to get the terminal into the socket and stay but it is not holding the terminal where it should be. If I could find another one that is better I would definitely rather go that way.

Here is a picture
