Hey guys, can anyone tell me how far the trim sticks up that wraps around the convertible top on a 69 Road Runner convertible? Is the reveal supposed to be painted? Also, I have a problem with the top rubbing on the drivers side when it retracts and it is wearing on the seam toward the back of the top. I also noticed the top is off about a quarter to half inch from drivers side to passenger side....is there a way to adjust the top over a bit so it doesn't rub? Thanks!

As funky as this sounds, I believe the service manual suggest shimming the top mechanism over if interference with the trim is an issue. I'm in work at the moment and can't look it up but Propwash might have a manual handy. :read2:

UPDATE:

Okay, I call BS on my own reply. I'll be damned if I can find it now. :angry4:

Well now........Let me see what I may have in my Bubbling Cauldron OF DOOM...I'll try to piece together the relevant stuff for you. I'd send you the whole manual if I could, but it's 648MB. If you go to 69roadrunner.net you can download factory service and parts manuals as well as brochures, if you're a member (free)
