so my tail light lense in my 69 roadrunner are cloudy and dull. has anybody tried to clean them up with a Headlight restoration kit? if so what kind of results did you get.
Just use 3M polishing compound and a buffer. Of course, you'll have to take them
apart to do a stellar job but it's pretty easy and they'll look like new!
If they're really bad you can sand and polish like stainless or aluminum. Start with 600 grit or so then build up through 2000 grit then go to polish. Outside of the lens only.
I have used the 3M headlight restore kit on late model headlights with good results, but for something small like a Road Runner tail light lens this should work well. I've used it on other plastic lenses and such with good results.
