I have an opportunity to buy a 69 Road Runner project. It is a numbers matching 383, 4 speed, air grabber, bench seat, Gold/Gold car. The car is very complete; air grabber, air cleaner, motor, trans, the works.
Car needs both quarters replaced, trunk pan, floors are good. It will need a complete teardown restoration. All glass and trim is good. Frame, torsion bar areas are good.
Any input on value would be appreciated. I know it's tough without pics, I will try to get some. Thanks!

Well, from my experience, plan on full qtrs, full floors, wheelhouses, maybe some frame rails too, also, get it media blasted pronto as soon as you buy it, and strip it down. Only then can you really tell the true condition of the vehicle. Paint hides Bondo really well, and Bondo hides damages really well, and also fills in rust too. Take a look at some of my pics of 'good' cars before being blasted -- at least the owner swore they were good cars, in good condition, then, after visiting me, the condition isn't so good. Just telling you how it is! Good luck, especially if it's a New England car and has it's history on those salt infested roads. Rust ain't no joke up there.

Even though the market is down, cars like that are still desirable (4spd/numbers that is). I'd say 5-7 k, depending on how clean it is.
