69 roadrunner brake cable release?

On the right(passenger) side..through torshion bar mount..how does the cable release from here..mines dirty & cant tell without destroying it..gotta be simple..

The cable comes through the torsion bar crossmember on the drivers side and has a slide on retaining clip with fingers that need to be depressed to release them to remove it from the crossmember. You can slide a piece of metal pipe just the right size out over the cable to release them or put a worm clamp on it to squeeze the fingers in enough and then tap lightly on the cable outer housing at the end just behind the clamp and it will come out. As always cleaning the area first and applying some penetrating oil will make it a lot easier
