So far I've read any a/c bird would have a blue engine and early build 69's are all blue up until Jan 1 1969 then orange came out. My beeper should not be orange due to the fact it is a Nov 68 build and it has no a/c...true? St Louis car....

With a/c: turquoise.
Without: orange.

Regardless of the time of year.

There has to be some reason behind the two different colors. With A/C maybe a lower performance engine, possibly milder cam or assembled at different factory. Without A/C different build internally. My 68 Roadrunner built in Jan. 68 had the ugly Torquoise.

69 a/c cars got the turquoise 330 horse with automatic and four speed.
Non a/c RRs and SBs got the orange 335 with either transmission.
Non a/c B bodies (Belvedere, Coronet, Charger) with four speeds got the orange 335 horse.

The applications change from year to year. 68 is different than 69 and 70 is different than 69.

None of those engine's were blue. There were turquoise. The other color was Hemi Orange.
