69 RR Emblem?

So my search for my new RR continues. I have looked at a few in person and many online. I was looking at one online and noticed some sort of an emblem on the passenger side front quarter panel just behind the front tire. I have not seen this on any that I have looked at in person, but now that I have noticed it, I am seeing in in pics online. It appears to be on the passenger side only. What is it? Is it supposed to be only on the passenger side?
