I have spotted a 69 RR, I've been looking for one for over 2 years. This one I found isn't numbers matching. Its a 383 with 727, not post car and dana rear. guy said motor has been worked on to 600hp, who knows how true. The car needs wiring harness so hasn't been started since rebuilt. The quarter panels were redone and they look fine. Body looks fine everywhere else. Needs some exterior trim here and there. Main concern would be the rear window needs work and guy said he has extra metal for from another RR to fix it. Now on the interior, everything has to be redone as far as interior, needs dash, carpet seats reupholstered ect. I gave the guy an offer for 5k.
Since this is my first project, the engine+electrical work I can handle. Interior and metal work I would need it to get done professionally. About on a rough estimate how much it cost? Saying the harness kit works out fine and the motor runs good.

Goodmorning,
If you take it the right way..you should have the car bead-blasted; welded, bodywork done and painted in the right way; i would keep in mind that it will take 15-20 for a show worthy resto job. I am restoring my 1963 Savoy;
a list of the costs:
- beadblasting 750
- welding, bodywork and paint 15000
I would first check if the car is worth the proper restoration.
This is just my humble opinion ofcourse! Also..if you like the car...go for it!
Good luck,

cheers from the Netherlands,

Your not far off. Got 35k into my 68 gtx after paying 6k for my car originally. Car had total resto. Engine and assy. of car myself ( paint and body from a pro. ) Chrome is very expensive these days and nobody does that themselves so dont forget about that.

Thanks for the input, my main concern is finding the interior for the car, and the minor welding needed. Dont mind that its going to take me while to fix. But dont want to be in a huge hole,
