I am having trouble with my rear seats.the top does not go down far enough to be flush with the surface or the deck,I took the card board divider out and verified that the seat back is hooked into the right spot and all the way down, the seat bottom has never seemed right either it seems to be to far forward and doesnt lock in place and you can put your fingers up under the edge.does any body know if seats from a 4 door car are different, since theses were the seats in the car when i got it i dont know if they are the originals.they have tags on them the top reads WSP2942796 and the bottom is WSP2858870.and also my car is a post car,are the seats from a hardtop different.PLEASE HELP,tired of taking the seats in and out getting frustrated:angryfire:

You know, I may have the same issue with my red 69 (maybe it's the color!!). I haven't looked at it for a while but I know what you're talking about. When I did get the back part installed it seemed I had to use a 20 ton press to get the bottom hooked in. One thing I do know is the seat frame I used was out of a 68 GTX, so it is possible there is a difference from 68 and 69. I'd like to know for sure myself. That would suck if I just had the wrong seat frame recovered!!! The reason I used the 68 seat was because the one in the car originally is a hunk of rust. Maybe what I will do is compare seat frames.

yeah,I have no idea if these are the original frames, one problem is the top was recovered and needs to be removed and installed correctly,I will be happy if the top is over the deck by a 1/2" if you cant see the fuzzy of the seat cover like now.Ill let you know how I make out

All 68-70 Plymouth hardtop, and post, rear seats are the same. The 4 door and station wagon seats will have rounded corners where the 2 door models will have a more square corner. Convertible rear seat is a totally different animal all together. I hope this helps.
