DSCN0366.jpgDSCN0366.jpgDSCN0362.jpgDSCN0364.jpgDSCN0368.jpg-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------my 69 sport sat,,,new quarters, trunk floor, body work was done using lead, there is absolutely no rust anywhere. The car was blasted, body work completed, the body is as straight as when the car was new.It is painted the original color. I have new brakes, master, complete front end parts with torsion bars all new. It came with a 383 two barrel, the motor is the correct 290hp 1969 engine but might not be the original. The heads are done with hardened exhaust seats. I have a 70 383 block 30 over that is being assembled as i write this. Also the 727 trans is being disassembled and rebuilt. The car is complete, has all trim ect. I have the Galvin report on it. It is pretty much all original. I am wrestling with the desision to sell it for reasons i'll share privately. This car is completely done body wise and is truly mint. I want what i have into it and for what it is i think you'd spend much more to get a convert in this condition. The car is located in New Jersey not far from Philly Pa... Pm for my cell and we can talk---serious only as im not giving it away --------thanks

I wonder what a 'Galvin' report is?

But it's a nice, no...it's a beautiful looking car. Did it originally have a white or black top? Or green?

black top and yes i meant galen, thank you. i go back and forth constantly with parting with this car. As someone told me if i sell it and see another im going to get sick. Thats a true statement, the way things are going i just thought id give selling it a shot,i know its difficult selling a project un-completed car and i refuse to lose a dime on it. tonight i'll list all the particulars and price,if someone is intrested good,if not so be it. Either way is ok and this seems like a excellent forum for owning and restoring a molar-----------thanks

Update----Someone recently contacted me about this car. The thing is this,i dont have to sell it as I'm not hard up for the money, but the truth is this. I recently retired our plan was to move. I wanted a two car garage, more yard, house on one floor. My wife became ill and i can't push to move as the hospital and doctors are in the city, its just the way it is. The car is at my daughters which is 100 miles away.Maybe another car another time. My question is this. Im into this car for close to 20G. The tranny was just done and the heads are done, the bottom end is going together as i speak. There is almost and i mean almost no bond on this car. Its all lead work. With the exception of the lower quarter panels and trunk floor all the sheet metal is original. Everything is there as far as interior and trim. The rear interior panels for a conv, that i read are so expensive are in mint cond. The car is a original AC car, wood grain steering wheel buckets console. I have a reconditioned original 8 track AM radio still in the box. All new front end, torsion bars, brakes, How much is it worth? If i have to take a hit,how hard would you say. I could still keep the car but honestly i dont see it getting done any time soon. Even if it was i still could not keep it at my home as my garage is way to small. What the F do you do? What would you let it go for and thanks for any help

More than likely you are going to lose money when you sell it.Unless you got a hell of a deal on paint and body work.A very very nice gold 68 Satellite convert sold on here last year for around 22K if I remember right and it was a running driving car.

I never sold the car but again the situation has changed. I have come to terms that if i want to sell a project it has to be priced correctly. The only reason im considering selling is due to a illness that just recently became a serious issue again and i honestly don't know when im going to ever get a chance to work on it. The plan ive thought about is just continue to accumulate parts till the time comes that i can work on this car. Since i first posted this add,ive got a three core hi-eficency radiator, had the 727 rebuilt, 383 is done, rebuilt carb, starter, alternator, fan shroud in addition to what i already had. I'll put the quality of the body work up against most any show car done by any top shop. im that confident of it. The thing is i don't need too sell it because i need the money. The car is safe and dry and can stay were it is for years. However thats not what i want. Please no dreamers or anybody who thinks there going to get something for next to nothing,or anybody looking to break my balls as im not in any state of mind for any nonsense. Make a reasonable offer and if i can part with it for that price i will.Car is located in Jersey near philly

My understanding is you are asking $20K and are negotiable. Is that correct?

If not please clarify Steve. Prices are required and a starting point would be helpful if you want to sell the car.

Also is it actually a 383 car or 318?

It came with a 383 two barrel, the motor is the correct 290hp 1969 engine but might not be the original.

It's very easy to determine if its a 383 car by checking the VIN, and easy to tell if the 383 that came with it is the original motor by checking the VIN stamped on it against the fender tag if you have it.

It is a 383 car. As far as the price i wrote what i had into the car and now im into it for more than that. I would accept a reasonable offer if one is given. The way i read the "rules" you prefer a stated amount as far as a asking price but not required. I honestly don't know what a reasonable price would be.

The hard work is done. Someone is going to get a nice project. Wish you luck

Steve you know the instant you sell the car you'll regret it, it would be so hard to do another car and get it to that quality. Sometimes having the car around to work on helps with dealing with everything else that goes on, if you need help with anything be happy to help if I can.
