Got this in early December 2022. Car had been sitting over 35 years with #6 rod bearing completely gone but not blown. Incredible amount of mice/rodent presence, so I think I’ll call it the Mouse Trap. Chevy guys can take it anyway they want. It is complete #s matching 383 4spd that was mostly complete only missing the air cleaner and horn and a few small electrical pieces. It had a bondo and color change in late 70 to early 80. I think I remember seeing it on a car lot in the early 80s.

It will need typical rust repair in the rear, trunk pan, extensions, quarter skins, final cross member. Floor pans need minimal repair at footwells.

Plan to go back to original colors. Small stroker kit in original engine. Borgenson steering box. Aluminum Radiator.

Nice! I love 69 Runners, we need more of them. Good on you for keeping the 383 in it too.

I'm a big Road Runner fan myself. Agree with stroking that 383, it will be a blast.

Another one saved and has plans. Got my vote. Love the RRs myself.

Especially late 60’s.

About to graduate from trunk hell. Test fit, adjust and marked frame rail locations.

Some may wonder about the tow bar thing. It’s so I can handle it with my skid loader to take it out and pressure wash it as such. It was full of mice.

Fellow 69 RR owner here. Thanks for saving a great car. Nice work, please keep the photos coming!

This is how I put the quarter skins on by myself. Left a few little tabs to hold it in place then slid a hacksaw blade in to cut them off after a few tacks.

Upper shock mount cross member is good. Lower mount pins are sprung some though. I still have the hanger brackets but I welded new ones on and bought new straps. Still looking for J bolts. You would think the straps would have came with some.
