70 B Body wiring protector?

Hope I described it correctly...lol.
What holds this protector in? Is it welded or just
Seam Sealed in? I ask because mine went missing when the floor pans were done. Not even sure if I even need to worry about it.

Tabs are welded to the body, once bent up a few times too many and they come off...

Without them your carpet won't sit right coming up to the sill and rear "door" card.

A section of PVC pipe of a similar radius could be cut on a table saw and hinged to provide a similar conduit.

I had to take mine out in the drivers side to weld in a new floor pan. I used sheet metal screws to put it back down.
