70 Coronet suspension

I'm giving one of my '70 Coronets to my daughter for her college graduation. It's a 318 auto with air.
I'm going to put a front power disc brake conversion kit on it and still run with the 14" wheels

I have a new rear end to put in it, and plan to rebuild the rear drums

I'd like to put on the leaf springs that are 1" lowering
It does need a new steering box. This one leaks

now the questions...
What would yall do to the front end? Just a rebuild kit and good shocks?
I'd like to lower the front a bit from stock too.
There are lots of choices out there. Almost to many

Just put factory brakes on there so she can get it fixed at any regular auto shop. If you don't have the factory stuff laying around then buy it from Doctor Diff.

For the front end, I'd do idler, pitman, inner/outer tie rods, upper/lower ball joints & all control arm bushings. Double check your brake/wheel clearance before buying your brake kit. If it's power drum, then I might consider leaving it stock (as andyf said...easier to get parts....50 yr old cars are tough enough!)

I'd recommend 1" lowering blocks & longer u-bolts for the rear end (aka generic truck "lift" blocks from any auto parts store). Steering boxes can be hard to find sometimes, so maybe look for a local rebuilder or start looking now.

I would suggest power steering box from Steer and Gear, ask if they are interested in your box as a core they will likely give you a price break.
Unfortunately those things weigh a ton, so shipping will not be cheap.
