70' GTX grille tab repair

View attachment 1370092 ive never seen anyones pics of how they repaired the grille tabs so Im showing how I did mine. 24ga S.S. and jbweld cut to shape and build with jb while attaching to the grille. works great and looks good

Why not just weld that bad dude? Will jb weld hold up in the long run? I think it's a he'll of good job thinking outside the box!!!!

Plastic welding is an option, but sadly it is 'hit and miss' with modern plastics on the older style plastics. I will be taking some samples to a local company soon to check this out for sure...it all depends on the people who do it sometimes.

Oh ****, I did not know it was plastic, my bad. A 2 part epoxy will work also.

don't know how long it'll hold up but its good for now until some bills get paid and I can afford a new one if needed.

You're still THE fab guy, Zack. I thought you WERE talking about plastic welding...lol. Bought a kit once to do dirt bike fenders, as I have 3 boys who were always banging into trees. Worked pretty well.
