70 GTX new ignition lock cylinder

Anyone have a tutorial on how to replace the ignition lock cylinder thingy on the column on pops' 70 GTX? The old one is worn out / busted.

I downloaded the service manual, but don't see anywhere in there that tells me how. I am guessing:

Pull steering wheel
remove blinker stuff
pull column collar
unscrew stuff
a pin? losing it here...

IIRC, on the first lock replacement, it may be necessary to drill the access hole in the location shown to release the lock cylinder.

yes mine is the lever type, but it is firmly fixed in place - so perhaps the lock ring is the ticket...
