70 Plymouth door latch link, attachment

Guys, how does the link attach to the ball on the door latch mechanism? What retains it? I believe there is a clip up the top attaching it to the outside door handle, what’s on the bottom of any or does it just flip about, is that adjustment screw there to take out slack in the link?

A metal clip at both ends retains the link to the door handle and lock, these clips are readily available
