Saw this photo in Car Craft (RoadBee project in the Dec 2012 issue).....the passenger side door panel has what looks like a very nice looking trim piece sitting over the top of the door panel....my 70 does not have it.....cannot find any reproductions of it in any of the catalogs...did a search for photos of 70 roadrunner interiors and could not find any with that trim piece...was wondering if anyone knows what it is from? Is it a custom piece, an option rarely ordered....

I believe that is a GTX only piece. My 70 GTX has them. I think Road Runners just had the painted area above the door panel.

Is the panel all one piece or is the upper part seperate from the lower panel? Curious what the rear panels are like.......

thanks

It is a separate piece made of aluminum that mounts to the upper door. These are also on Sport Satellites.

Yep, I have two sets that I pulled from Sport Satellites. The driver's door was available with a cut-out for the remote mirror. They're stamped aluminum with a wood grained vinyl insert, and a small cast bar with red/white/blue paint. Classic Industries makes replacement wood grain vinyl for them, I haven't seen complete panels. I like the look too, but still haven't installed them. I'm sure they'd be a better compliment for SS or GTX wood grained dash packages.

Can you send me a photo or reply with a photo? Would like to see what they look like up close...

thanks

Hi,
Have you found the interior door trim pieces? I have 3 of them..... 2 with the colored emblems, 1 without, if interested.
