hello to all ,swpped a 383 to 440 on 70 roadrunner had a 22 inch rad now to a 26 inch stock as well the shroud does not fit the part #299326 im not sure its either the shroud or radiator the radiator mounts fine and where does the shroud mount directly to radiator or are there brackets like 22 inch many thanx

shroud mounts should be built into the sides of the radiator.couple of L brackets with studs sticking out towards the eng.

You might take a look at the radiator core support hole & do some soul searching (& wallet searching). I believe most/all of the 383 care have a 22"-ish wide hole in the core support and the 440/Hemi cars have a bigger 26"-ish hole. This effectively blocks off 4" of your new 26" radiator from getting air flow. You can either go cheap & cut the radiator core support, go big money & weld in a whole new/correct 26" core support or just live with your new radiator not working its best due to 4" of air flow being blocked off.

i changed right side rad support panel to pick up 4 inches to 26 the oe radiator slips right in no problem ,my question is is there a problem with center of fan to shroud ? i have the engine out so i cant final fit before i weld my measurements seem fine but adding 4 inches to one side has me thinking i may be off just wondering if any one has come across this and encontered any problems thanx again .....andy

Hi, wondering what you ended up doing. I have a 68RR and have 26" radiator and a 22"shroud (obviously wont fit together). So i have the option of making the 26" radiator work (by ordering a shroud and cutting the support panel, drilling mounting holes to center it) or order a 22" aluminum radiator that is around $200. My roadrunner has a 440 in it and has had overheating problems in the past, but its been 12 years ago and I dont recall ever figuring out the cause. Also I have a flex blade fan, with no clutch, do i need to put a spacer in there, to get the fan closer to the radiator? lots of questions, im disgruntled
