I need to choose between the two used sets of clips I have. One set has the metal piece almost flat against the plastic, the other is angled about 45 degrees from the metal. What is the factory orientation?

And to install the screw, is it necessary to dis-assmble the plastic piece from the metal piece and then re-assembly them on the car?

Are photos available showing them installed?

Thank you.

The one that isn't flush is bent. Yes, the plastic is removed for installation, then put back on. It slips over the metal clip.

Be very careful with the headliner. I use a fine tipped soldering iron and a sponge to make my holes. Goooo sloooow. Ive found it works better than a cut because the headliner is taught and its less likely to cause a wrinkle when everything is tightened down.
