I know people are building clones of the 69 Daytona and 70 Superbird. But what is every one opinions on building one from a 71-74 Charger?

I think it's a great idea. Big Willie did that to his 73 charger and it looked fine in my opinion.

I think a guy down in alabama did that with a 71. Owns a bunch of other chargers. Steve is his name.

I really like the idea and it will look good! Keep us posted on it.

Personally I like the wing better as a single wing instead of the double wing.

Think I will I have a perfect crusty Charger to do it with. Time to save some $$$$ and gather more parts.

Your 69 looks great with a wing on it. I am surprised there isn't more done that way.

XS2 . that really works in my opinion

That's not my 69' it's just a pic I saved, been dreaming of doin that with the plymouth call outs to this.. 1200.jpg

Is the 68 in your gallery yours, are you going to put wing on yours?

Yes that's mine, I'd like to wing it someday. It's a clone so it's not like I'd be disrespecting a true GTX. :icon_thumleft:

Wings belong on superbirds and daytonas only, juts my 2 cents. Besides 71-74 chargers are already 20+ feet long adding the nose is another 2 feet.

The factory was going to do this but pulled out on the project. They look great this way. Ifs funny how much the 71 Plymouth Superbird design looks almost like our modern jet fighters.

I thinkt he 71s would have been the most aero dynamic cars in racing if they would have done them.
