Apparently, I just found out that my shifter is from a 75+ Cordoba/Magnum.
Can anyone tell me:
A) where I can get a correct shifter mechanism for my slapstick auto?
B) how involved is it to remove/replace shifter mechanism?

Thanks!

Fairly simple to remove. Remove shifter handle. Then remove console top plate so you can access console screws underneath. Remove screws in bottom of console glove box. Lift out console. Disconnect shifter rod. take out bolts to shifter mech and remove. reverse the order to install. I don't think I missed anything else. I'm sure others will chime in if I forgot anything.

Do you think I can just get the shifter mechanism, or would I need the whole thing w/ brackets and all?

I think yours is like the third or fourth I've seen on here that has that shifter... mine included. It must have been fairly common to switch out those shifters if the T-handle broke. I bought mine like that as well.

yeah..i am just trying to find out how many parts exactly need to be swapped out. I want to go w/ a pistol grip handle, but can't with this shifter.

Call or email the auto-grip guy whos info I posted in your other thread. He makes pistol grips for other shifters as well, not only slapstick t handle replacements, might have one for your mechanism.

i did reach out to him. he told me that he only works on t-handles. he doesn't have handles for the 75+.
i think i annoyed him, sent a second email asking him what parts i would need to swap and never heard back

I have the correct shifter mechanism and other Linkage parts if you need them. PM me
