I am considering selling my wife's car. My biggest problem is I am having trouble determining a value for the car. I have been looking high and low and find it difficult to find something that is similar. Which brings me to you to ask your opinion.

Here's what I have...
1971 Super Bee rust free Oklahoma car
Numbers matching with 2 broadcast sheets (1 is pretty torn up but readable).
I have all the paper work from when the car was purchased in 1970 straight through 1998 (registrations included and maintenance receipts)
I have a receipt from when the original motor was rebuilt in the late 90s
Very nice paint that has been repainted at sometime.
underbody is beautiful
car runs down the road excellent and I would trust to drive it anywhere.
Car came with air conditioning that blows cold.
Interior is very nice but dash does have cracks.

Just looking for opinions and not prepared to sell yet.

Dennis

383 engine, what options ? I see it has a bench seat & column shifter, that brings value down some, but A/C brings it up some, try http://www.71superbee.com/Values/ , scroll down to the bottom of the page it gives assessed appr. average value {for a 383ci auto} decent quality driver/not a parts car LOW $9,500 {seems a little high too me, I've seen many sell much cheaper} to great condition well optioned car HIGH $38,000 {it better be near perfect}by year engine options, & what the low & high levels are etc.... I just Googled "71 Dodge Super Bee Values", unfortunately Gen 3 1971-75 Chargers aren't as high in demand as the Gen 2's 1968-70 or considered as valuable, they have come up some thou... I like them, great car, usually for a reasonable price...

I'd say, given my experience with this specific model, based on condition alone. Any were from 10-14k, It could be worth more, but it appears to have had a repaint, (I love the hood) but others may not like the lack of hood stripes, the car has some condition issues with the interior, and finally it is a three speed auto not a four speed ( a major Debbie Downer for buyers. The car could be worth more depending on what engine options it has. With a little bit of work to the interior and paint it could be worth 20K or more

There is a four speed ramcharger project for sale in Virginia for $8500, but it is in nowhere near the condition as this.

The paint is definitely not a 20 footer. It is probably a 2 footer, maybe less and the EL5 makes it hard to find any flaws.. Looks great at shows.

Budnicks thanks for the link, I would describe the car as better than average. The lower door panels are not great and the carpet has seen better days but I would fix those before I sold the car.

Thank you for the opinions, keep them coming.

OK these might give you a better idea of paint condition.

IMO from the way it looks and how clean it is underneath. I would say $15-20,000 range.

I agree, $15 - 20,000 range. Good looking steed!
