I just bought a new reproduction AM/FM radio for our 71 GTX clone. The old radio was a correct Mopar AM/FM radio for the car, but of course it wasn't hooked up and didn't work anyways.....The PO put fiberglass front fenders on the car so I'm thinking of a powered hidden antenna. Anyone have any luck with any particular brand working better than others?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

I don't really have any info to add about antennas, but with regards to fiberglass front-end parts, I would just like to say this. On the 70 T/A Challengers&AAR Cudas, the Factory moved the antennas to the rear of the car. It is my understanding.........and I could be wrong, that the fiberglass hoods cause interference. I'm not suggesting that you rear-mount the antenna, as I've never seen that on a 71 B-Body, but I'm just putting it out there so you're aware of it. Personally, I'm happy to just listen to my engine (seriously).
