Was installing a driveshaft loop on my Charger today and noticed that the driveshaft has 2 steps in the diameter at one end. I did not measure the diameters, but approx. 8-10" from one end it steps up, then another 8-10"it steps up again. I am wondering if there is a correct installation direction? Both ends of the shaft are 7290 joints. The large end I would guess at 3'' and the small end I would guess at 2.5'' to 2.75". Currently the larger end is to the front of the car and the smaller end is at the rear end. I looked in a service manual but didn't find any reference. Anyone have any thoughts?

Ok, that's how its currently installed, but it just looks backwards.
