So I got my Rallye gauges installed in my 71 Charger and I like having the original 7k tach. that said it's got a weird issue. At higher RPM's the needle will sometimes stick after the rpms drop. So to get it to start registering the correct rpms I have to rev it up higher than the stuck point and then it will respond.

Question. Can this be lubricated? Is it a mechanical issue with the needle or a circuit issue? Anyone seen/resolved this problem before?

Thanks,

Patrick

For as inaccurate as factory tacks are would not waste much time fixing it. Much cheaper and more reliable to buy a good aftermarket and have it over with.

I recently purchased a "re-pop" Tic-Toc-Tac from Charger Specialities for my 70 RR and it is working great...it is also set up to work with the aftermarket Electronic ignition systems (MSD, etc...)

Get a new circuit broad from Real Time. Takes away the bounce and makes it way more accurate.
