71 Satellite grille on a 72

My 72 grille is AWFUL shape. Guy I bought it off of, added fog lights and set them into the grille.

I found a grille for a 71 for sale. And I'm 99.9% certain it will fit into my 72. But I wanted to check with the braintrust at fbbo before I dole out the cash.

If its a 72 Satellite, yes the 71 will fit. If its a 72 Road Runner then no. 72RR has it's own grill and different grill mounts.

Is the 1972 grille you have the roadrunner grille or the satellite grille? In 72 the roadrunner had the middle divider, while the satellite grille didn't. In 71 there was just one style - the same as the satellite grille for 72. The brackets for the 72 roadrunner grille are different than the satellite grille.

They are both for the Satellite. With the grid look. I just wanted to make sure it would fit, without cutting or anything.

But that middle divider grille is bad-***.
