72 charger 727 clutch questions

I am currently disassembling the clutch and I can't seam to get the front clutch apart is there a special way to get the front and rear apart if anyone has done these before and have free time pm me and if possible call me I will send my number for that

The clutches in the front drum are probably toast. Did you lose third and reverse? That's the front drum that the band applies around. The drum with the shaft is the forward drum. You will need to pry them apart with 2 large screw drivers. If you get them separated some you might get a smaller screw driver in and pop the snap ring out that's around the edge of the front drum. The transmission didn't have problems when I pulled it I just needed help trying to get the front drum apart so I can get to the clutches
