72 Charger parts for 72 Coronet

Since they don't make panels for my Coronet. I was looking at a lower rear quarter panel repair patch for a 72 Charger. It looks like it has the same basic shape and contour as the quarter panel on my 72 Coronet. I'm talking about the area from behind the tire to the bumper. Would it work? Should I try it?

I'd take measurements.

I've seen a lot of interesting cross-car line applications.

My brother used this area from my 87 5th Ave on his 66 Satellite.
