72 Satellite Headliner - Am I missing something?

Hi there, you guys are all very knowledgeable so I'm going to pick your minds some more.

I purchased a replacement headliner for my 72 Satellite years ago when the project was going to be a couple month project not lots of years.

But I am inching towards completion and I was looking at getting the headliner installed. But I was looking at the roof yesterday and just noticed all the cross supports and everything running across.

Does the new headliner just go right over top of that or am I missing something here?

Headliner has sleeves that the rods go through.
