Noticed brake pedal travel increasing on my way to the gas station late last night on my 1972 satellite sebring plus with power brakes, front disc, rear drum big block car.

By the time I got to the gas station i had travel all the way to the floor and barely any stopping power.

Checked the reservoir and no fluid in the smaller front section of the reservoir.

Bought some brake fluid and filled it.
Drove home and brakes not too good.

Shined a flashlight on each wheel when home and could not see any leaks anywhere.

Recently checked brake fluid and no problems!

So I am heading out to the garage today to work on my brakes☹️

Anybody got any ideas???

Blown out lines or hoses? Master leaking back into the booster?

Front of MC is for rear brakes.

That narrows it down.

I've seen a small leak get boiled off by the heat of the drum/disk.

Pull the rear drums and have a good look.

However, loosing a full reservoir in one trip suggests a larger leak.

Found the leak at the distribution block above the rear end.
Cleaned everything and tightened it up.
Bled each wheel.

Much better now. But probably should bleed the master too.

While you're slaving away, adjust your back brakes. Having them out of adjustment means more pedal travel.
