Hey fellas, I am currently rebuilding my 69 model 727 transmission that is in my 65 belvedere. I am using my stock 318 poly k-member with the Schumacher RB conversion motor mounts. Does anyone know if I can buy the stock, original repop tranny cooling lines and make them work with a later trans? Thanks guys!
 
Sorry not sure but I'll be watching for a reply as I may be swapping in a 69 or 70 trans for my 65 coronet. I may have similar issue/question. Good luck.
 
Forgive me for asking but I see these questions a lot and scratch my head.. Is there a reason why nobody just buys a cheap tubing bender (under $20) and a length of tubing and just make them? That's what I've always done for fuel, brake and tranny lines. Double flaring tools aren't even expensive and you always get the fit you want. Just asking

You can borrow a bender and flare tool from advanced auto and buy line like I did and build your own.
Cost is cheap, all it takes is time.
 
I work a lot and just need to have the parts on hand. I guess I'm going to install a tranny cooler with my new trans and I'll just take a c-body line I have laying around and make it work. Thanks guys.

Why would anyone spend all the time and frustration to bend your own transmission lines??? When you can order a set (for cheap) that fit the first time you mount them up. Wow! So yeah Inline Tube or Fine Lines sells soft steel or stainless. Mounting is the same. Just order for an early B with a big block and 727.
 
If your Belvedere has headers then stock lines probably won't fit out of the box and you will probably have to bend your own lines.. If it has stock exhaust then you could order pre bent and fitted tubes from Inline Tube or some other vendor and they should fit nicely.

I want to say yes to the repop cooling tranny lines. I have a later model tranny to get rid of the cable shift in my 65. The cooling lines are stainless repops. They required some minor adjustments to get around the headers and were a little long at the rad connections.
 
Thank you 65Hemi! I actually got a later(69) b-body line and it fits pretty good. Like you said, just a little wiggling around the headers and I made it fit pretty easily!
 
I bought my trans cooler lines from Mancini for my 63 Sport Fury. And I use a 1970 trans 727 style. The lines fit good but I run headers and had to modify the bends a little but it was no big deal to me as they work great and have been on my 63 since 2006. Ron
