727 decoder

Can anyone tell me what these numbers mean?

It is a 66 hemi trans. 2538389 is the part number. The other number is a sequential serial number.

Sorry but so do I it’s in my 66 Hemi I just never noticed the numbers until I changed the pan gasket

There are definitely casting numbers but they are located above the torque converter so all I could see looked like a 6

Thanks for looking. The casting date is usually on the side of the case above the numbers you posted. There is the last two digits of the year and twelve boxes with dots in them for the month. It could be a clock type or a row of boxes. Don't sweat it, I am just being a nusance.
