Ok so here is my story. My 68 Roadrunner was all stock 2 years ago. The tranny worked perfect. Supposedly it has been all rebuilt with some better parts about 20 years ago. I built the 383 last year with Stealth heads, Voodoo cam, domed pistons, Holley 830 and Torker intake, TCI 3000 stall and 3.91 gears. etc. etc. Obviously the kickdown linkage was way off with the intake and carb change and it would shift WAY too early. So I basically left the carb at idle and lengthened all adjustments as far as they would go and it just barely got tight against the carb. So I drove it and seems ok unless I have the throttle wide open, then the tranny shifts terrible. It takes about 2 seconds to go from first to second. At 1/2 throttle it shifts hard but if I shorten the rods it shifts too early. What am I doing wrong???
