I am looking for a 727 shifter lever, found one on ebay in the States but the douche wants $13 bucks shipping to Canada...I figure a small packet would be under $5 LOL.
Thanks

Hey, don't blame us, blame your own government. I bough a set of heads in Texas and it cost me $102.00 to have them shipped to NY. I shipped the same size heads to BC and it cost over $220.00, you figure it out.:angryfire:

I am not blaming you guy's Red..Far from it...I blame the guys making money off the shipping. He said free shipping in the U.S and when I asked for a quote I got $12.95 to Canada. It depends on how it is shipped and I know for a fact that anything shipped with a value over $50 gets dinged. I have shipped many things State side and have recieved many more items from the U.S ...much larger than this lever for a lot less. Like that rubber gromet for the fuel tank I got in a small box...$3.95 shipping.
Sorry if it came off the wrong the way and I offended you, it was more directed to ebayers making money off the shipping .

You can have mine after I convert to a 4 seed. :)

Thanks LOL ...I figure there has to some kicking around in some boxes under the work bench in a few garages *g*

Not looking for a free B here bigmanjbmopar but thanks for the offer. The ebay ad was for Buy it now $20 which I think is fair.
Thanks

Gotta remember there IS extra charges added for tracking (charged by both USPS and Ma-Post here) no likely not that much but insurance is extra and if its a new part applicable taxes then duties if applicable...

Now I'm not saying the sellers dont add anything for thier own time, gas, packing... Bottom line is that if you dont like thier quote get it from someone else.

Yes I know it sux but sellers will do it if people are wiling to pay, Canada, US, UK, Australia, it doesnt matter where, many sellers do it.

I have bought enough to know who is making and who is charging a fair shipping price. I think what happends in some cases Is some of the sellers go by the envelope size and that is what they quote, when they could do better. I always ask if can be shipped USPS...they have always been the best and no brokage fees on smaller items.

I had both boxes marked as used auto parts with a value less than $50.00. There were no charges for boxing or taking them to be shipped and I am thinking the distance was fairly equal, Texas to NY/Ny to BC. Nah, I'm not upset at all and I didn't take it personally. Hell I got a huge box today with 0.90 pounds of "Carb to pump" fuel line in it from Michigan and they charged me $18.00 for shipping. Its got to the point where anything you save by purchasing on the internet gets eaten up in greedy shipping charges.

That is exactly what it is Red, when you sold something on ebay you were happy for the sale, now it seems some want to make money on both the sale and shipping.
Which is why sites like this are so great...

Ya duty gets you every time too. Cost me 40 bucks duty on a set of 440 source rods to cross the border on top of shipping. Personally I have the advantage of having a large junkyard nearby with a very generous man working there. But the thing I have noticed with a lot of mopar parts lately is there are not many kicking around anymore. So people who have them charge a lot.

Always try and ship through the US post office if possible

i am guessing the 40.00 was brokerage fees not duty. there is no duty on automotive. guessing it was u.p.s..

Actual Postal rates to Canada and other countries from the US has just gone up considerably since right after the beginning of the year i know i ship to other countries almost daily.

UPS has there own brokers ,so they will get the most money they can

I had a complete 68 floor shifter sent to me in OZ about 7yrs ago. Try $60 freight in a shoebox for an $85 shifter!....pay the $13.

6pakdave, I think I nearly have as much money invested in postage as I do in parts. One word of advice, use summits iparcel option, by far the cheapest and was decent timeframe. Radiator shroud cost me $21 in postage! Nearly fell of my chair when I saw that!
