727 up shift problems 67 gtx

I have had the car for about 4 years...Slowly building her up...Just went through the tranny...All the goodies from tsr racing....Red cluthes bands,hemi kickdown lever,trans go 2 shift kit and tci 2400 stall converter....1 and 2 are good....Doesn,t want to go int 3rd....My friend that helped me with the build said put on your lokar kick down cable this may be your problem...What do you guys think?

Check to see that your throttle is properly adjusted to be at WOT when the pedal is all the way to the floor. Have a helper board it inside while you look down the carb at the butterflies. If it isn't WOT, figure out why and adjust it. Then adjust the kickdown rod. My carb just needed a slight adjustment at the throttle cable. Once I got it to be at WOT, I was able to adjust the kickdown rod and it works great now.
