Anyone know where to get a bulge for a 73 B body? Swapping a 440 into mine and I just like the look of the bulge hoods. Will any 71-74 B body good fit?

There is one in ebay JUST RIGHT for 73 ( with correct rear grilles setup for 73 )

But any 71/74 Charger will fit

Thanks! Been searching but eBay never came up in any of them. Just curious, is it possible to put an air grabber on a 73 bulge hood?

If you have the money, everything is posible.

Recently a Charger owner installed air grabber on a 71 R/T- Bee hood, making a filler for the larger cut out these hoods have

73 bulge hood with an air grabber. I have $1200 in it painted, installed with all the parts. Then found a real one for about the same money that would have been easier to prep for paint.

Can you give some more details about swapping the air grabber into it? What all was involved?

Also will a 71-72 b body hood work on a 73 or is that one of the parts that doesn't interchange

A 71 hood will fit a 73-4 BUT the front under the hood is different.
You will not be able to use the bumper braces to the fender unless you do some modification to either the hood or the braces.
And 71 braces will NOT fit a 73, I tried.

My advice would be to find a hood with a ramcharger. It will fit, the dimensions are the same, the hinge mounts are the same, most people won't know the difference. Like stated above the differences are very minor. I did not actually weld the recess in the hood I have as I bought a car that had it. Then took the hood off. The person doing the welding did a poor job. Some things to consider are that you are welding on the skin, there is no structure there for the ramcharger recess, so warping is a concern. You will also need the exact measurements as everything has to line up with the engine placement, which means if you are going to a 440 from a small block, you will need to use Schumacher's kit or get a big block K-Frame, use a stock style intake to get the height right. There are some ways to fudge this, but just be aware that there can be fitment issues. The PO of my donor car was not aware and cut the edges of the air cleaner lid so that the door would retract into the hood because he put a 440 into a 318 car. I personally feel that I got away pretty cheaply because my body guy cut me a deal and I used a donor car which took a lot more time and effort. In normal economies, the kit is like $1500, plus the bulge hood to cut up, plus a welder, body work, paint and decal, you could be looking at $2500-3K. A real ramcharger hood will be cheaper in the long run if it isn't rusty and you can get all of the parts with it.
