Can someone post a photo of how it connects to the temperature slide lever. I have the FSM but the picture isn't real clear. There's supposed to be a clip on the heater control unit. Mine is missing and I need to know what it looks like so I can track one down. Thanks.

Bump. I really need to see what this clip looks like. I'm sure someone has a 71-74 Charger heater control unit laying around. If you could snap a pic of that clip it would help out a lot. Thanks.

Thanks for the photo of the control unit and the link. I've seen those clips in my search but I thought they were only for the valve under the hood, since all the aftermarket valves have them installed. The valve and cable are already on order. I'll go ahead and get one of those clips. Maybe everything willl make sense once I have it in front of me.

Edit: I thought I posted this yesterday but I guess I never hit the Post Reply button.

My 1972 Charger. With A/C. 73 may be a little different.

This should be a 73. eBay, is a good source for pics.

On that last pic, the plastic tab that sticks out between the clip and the lever arm, what is that for?

That should receive a clip depending on the application. (same clip posted prior)
example; if it's non-A/C the clip goes in the empty tab.
if it's with A/C the clip goes into the location pictured. Or vice-versa.
Can you post a pic of what you have?
