Does anyone know how much a 71 - 74 Charger weighs with a Big Block motor? Is their a place on the car that will tell me this? Trying to make decisions on Cams & Compressions ratio. Would appreciate any help.

Thanks

Cars vary in weight depending on options etc. Even how much undercoating they have can make a difference. Do you have a drag strip near you that has a scale? That's probably the best way to find out how much it is. Title weight can vary a couple of hundred lbs too....the title weight on my 66 Belvedere was light by 170 lbs.

Nebraska city? He probably has a grain elevator close by. They always have scales!

I thought about that but then thought truck scales....but I guess today's scales are much better these days than they used to be? lol

Cranky & 67 B Body - The grain scale idea would work great, unfortunately the car is in pieces and I didn't think far enough ahead to weigh it first. The title doesn't have the weight of the car either.

Thanks for the quick reply.

A Chrysler book I have said about 3,300 for a 71, 3,450 to 3,550 for a 73. As above, a stripper would end up less than a fully optioned SE with air. That's a start, anyway.
