A friend said he stopped to look at a 73 R.R. for sale. Owner said it was a #s matching car, 440, which is rare but possible & a Dana 60 rear. Did Chrysler put Dana's in car's in 73?

No Dana 60 in 73. Get the VIN number it tells you the engine size. 5th digit needs to be letter “U” For the 440 in that car.

Metal tag underhood by battery tells us a lot about the car, photo it or write it down and we can decode it.

It might be a 9.25 rear end which some people mistake for a Dana.

I didn't think they put a Dana in anything but a 3/4 ton or heavier Dodge truck by then. I will tell my buddy what to look for if he's interested. Thanks

I just got off the phone with my friend & he said it's a 318 car. Not worth what it would take to restore it.

He definitely made the right decision if it's that red '73 road runner in Philadelphia.

It very well could be, he was in that area today. Buying that would be like "takin' a Missouri boat ride"
