This might be correct, but my seat tracks only lock on one side. The inside on both sides slide freely....is this correct? Also, where can I get some of the vinyl slides that go between the metal pieces of the track?

No, they should lock. There should be a wire that goes from the lever side over to the other side. That wire also has a tensioner, to adjust for the wire stretching. The locking mechanism may be frozen on the inside track. Both tracks usually recieve very poor maintenance. Pull the seats and look at the tracks and see what needs to be corrected. The tracks in my '69 Road Runner were total junk and I had to replace them.

No wire on 73 and up. The inner is just along for the ride and are free floating.

I believe bench tracks have the same slider sleds.

Be careful. There is an orientation.
If they are installed backwards, you'll lose about 1.5" of seat travel.
