New here and this is my first post. I have a 73 roadrunner floor shift. I want to convert it from manual to power steering. I have all of the pumps and brackets but would like to see if there is any information out there on how to shorten steering column and collapsible shaft. Any help would be great. Engine is original 318 automatic. Thanks in advance. I am not a mechanic so I may not know all I should.

If you need pictures of a 73 Road Runner with power steering let me know and I can get you some pictures.

I can't help you with details on shortening the steering column as I have never done this. It might be easier to buy a good used power steering column and replace it. The power steering column would very likely be a column shift unit, but you can swap over the lock ring and associated pieces.

That would be great. I will have parts next week. I don't thing I need to shorten much.
Www

Sorry for the delay, I've been tied up with work.

Note this is an A/C car, so if you do not have A/C your belts may run differently.

Sorry, it is a bit grungy and dirty, but it is a daily driver! Hope these help!
