I have the hots for another 73-4 satelitte after the last one went away maybe 15 years ago. After that, many early A's and bunches of dusters, and just one B body a 66 Bel. But I degress. Cars seem to com and go over the years and decades.
So here I am wondering what if an repop stuff is available for these lesser loved models. Why the 73 you ask. Well when retired poor, and already 4 mopars in various stages of health, I gauge it all by smiles per mile and smiles per dollar! A 73 sat, even with the 318 will do fine. Affordable project is the key word.
I love to do the metal work, but fab rear qtr complex curves by hand, No! I call AMD, nope. But I see GoodMark even as full qtr. for the 71 sat. Wondering if they fit decent? and I know the marker light will change. I guess Legendary does upholstery? anyone do door panels?
Texas is not a mopar state, IMO, like old Missouri where I spent 38 years, just 3 now in Tx. Used parts? Stuff like decent used bumpers $ ? OEM buckets $ ?? I know, anything over price of scrape is salesmanship!!
I miss those 73-4 Sat. and chargers!

I am 99% sure there are patch panels for 73/74 plymouth out there. No full quarters that I know of. AMD is working on full quarters for 73/74 Charger but I haven't heard anything about Plymouths yet. 71/72s are different. Supposedly the wheel arch from a dodge pickup is a close match but I haven't tried it. Interior door panels and trim is already available aftermarket - not as good as original but available.

Been years since I had any, but the 73-4 quarter is different, not just the marker light??

73-74 are my favorite years also.havent had one since high school, but picked one up last year in north carolina for 8k with very little rust.will post pics soon

did my post with the ebay links get deleted?

yes.
My computer and Evilbay do not like each other!
I have now only found a lower rear patch, for the 73-4. Figures.

Funny how ever week I get a notice from AMD of another part coming out for obscure Fords!! lol

wonder why

it was pertinent

Since the mid 80's I have owned about every model Mopar from '62 on up into the 70's, so now, decades later, I will get the hots for some model I had back years ago. But like the '71 up B bodies I had back then, 15-20 year ago I bought good solid cars! Never any need for anything other than a few patches. Now days, car hunting, its usually a "restored" ( very relative term) car for more $ than I want in a toy ( I have 4 toys already), or its a poor example of a project. Way more solid cars here in Tx than the rustbelt, but way more cars (people) back there too, to choose from.
These 73-4 B bodies remind me of my last B project, a 66 Belvedere post car back 4-5 years ago. There were NO decent rear qtr metal at all, Sherman had some junk patches. I made better stuff by hand.
I will find a decent project that just needs some lower qtr and/or floor patches!!

It's S-A-T-E-L-L-I-T-E
Satellite

Why is Satellite the most misspelled Mopar model out there???

Examples I've seen:
Satelitte
Sattelite
Satilite
Satillite
Satllite

It's a common word in the dictionary and if you see a red squiggly line under the word you typed that means it's misspelled.

^^^^ Sometimes spell check does not appear on here. I have probably misspelled it more than once. If I live more days, I will be 72 and my fingers are old and stick, I hit the wrong keys sometimes! lol

I observed at the tender age of about 7 that the cursive script used on the 73/74 models is not that easy to make out.

For quite a while around that age, I thought it might be "Seattle".
