I'm looking for a good used OEM left hand side (drivers) torsion bar for a 73 B-body. The #'s on the front end of the bar are UXB 661L and on the rear 661L 033. Let me know what you have
Thank you for the explanation, breakdown of the #’s. Would 661 be the last of the actual part# or is it just a casting or forge #? ThanksThe "033" is just the date code. Third week of 1973. I'm not sure what UXB actually means, my 778-9 bars have that marking too, but it's irrelevant. The only marking that matters is the 661L. 661 is the last three digits of the part number and L helps the installer determine which side of the car it goes on.
Yes, 661 is the last 3 digits of the actual part number in the catalog rather than a similar yet different casting number.Thank you for the explanation, breakdown of the #’s. Would 661 be the last of the actual part# or is it just a casting or forge #? Thanks
