74 Charger Smog Equipped?

Probly a dumb question but if my 74 Charger SE has/had Emissions, would that mean that its got Smog Heads?

I've got the 5.9 360 la 2bbl. If my heads were smog, can u use non smogs heads? I only need 1 head due to 1 being cracked.

1. Can u run mixed heads (1 smog & 1 non-smog)

2. Would the Block Casting #'s help in decifin if my motor is Smog or not?

Stick with the same head casting or replace them both.

Physically, your engine will run with mismatched heads. If it's just a driver, and you happen to have another head, it'll work. But if it's an older one you run the chance of not having hardened valve seats. Or higher compression, but you won't get that lucky.
