74 Road Runner Rear Brakes Binding

I just installed new rear brakes and drums on my 74 road Runner. when I tighten the drums down they bind and will not rotate by hand. I have chaecked everything and it is not binding on backing plate so must be the brake shoes binding. The adjusters are closed almost completly to lowest positon. Any idea what the issue may be. Thanks.

You may need to get the shoes 'arched' to the drums. Any automotive machine shop can do this. They basically shave down the ends of the shoes to match the drum diameter.

Emergency brake partially engaged or stuck?

I've seen this twice in the last year.
