Has anyone been able to match the vinyl interior pieces for the DLR4 interior on a 79 300 with a SEM interior paint? My interior is sun baked on the rear quarter panel plastic and badly faded. I am sure I read somewhere about a paint code and formula that I could have custom mixed but I cannot for the life of me find it again. TIA

The interior is my next project now that I am keeping my 300. I gave the same issue with sun fade and multiple shades of red. I will start researching a paint code but I am sure someone somewhere has already done this!

I am experimenting with some of SEM's premixed colors so I will let you know my results. I am still hoping to get the code and formula rather than drag the panel into a paint supply outfit and have them use the camera to mix up a custom color. ....to be continued

Went to the garage to dig out my '79 FSM and look for paint codes for you. Here's what I found, hope this is what you need. (I had the same DLR4 interior on my Magnum, should be the same for the 300).

OK I am embarrassed to say I never even looked in my 79 Chassis Manual.....DOH!

Thanks for the assistance! Looks like the color on the vinyl is SR4 which lines up with my broadcast sheet so now the question is.......Is the R6 formula close enough to R4 on the vinyl?

I figured the paint dealer could whip up a batch of the R4 with that UCV code? Maybe not that simple, I don't know????????
