I have the ssbc front disc brake kit on my 64 Polara 500 and I love it. I am thinking about going with there rear disc kit, but I was wondering if the rear in earlier b bodies is different. The car has 63,000 original miles on it and I am yet to touch anything in the rear end. Do I need to upgrade to later axles? Change bearings? Not to sure. Any help would be appreciated.

There is a disc brake set up for the 64' and down 8 3/4, but I dont remeber where I saw it. I'll look for it and post when I find it.

It has to be, the 64 on down has a different brake set up (presson drum/hub) so it is different. Summit racing has it. Odd how I just remebered this......

You may have an issue here. With the tapered axles there is no flange to mount the rotor. I think the later axles will fit but check it out in case I'm wrong.

Cant swap axles between the 2. Check out summit, they give all the info needed to do the swap.

Scarebird makes brackets for the conversion using off the shelf GM rotors and calipers
