i am thinking about buying this 4 speed trans it has late 69 date on it which make it for a 70 model b body. i have 69 b body can i use a 11" clutch and bell housing with this or do i have to use a 10.5 clutch and bell housing? or does the crossmember dictate what size bell housing i use,i heard that 70 models use a different cross member than previous years i do not know please share knowledge and experiences with thos set ups. thanks

The tranny itself doesn't care what bell housing it bolts to - as long as the bolt pattern matches and the front bearing retainer OD matches the hole in the bell. Even the late model aluminum OD trannys will bolt up. You need to ID your bell to pick the flywheel and clutch setup. After that it's just the splines in the clutch disc that dictate the input shaft. The rear mount pad for a B body is the same. Only thing that might have changed is the mount itself and the cross member, but that is much later I think (like mid 70's spool mount stuff).
