My car is a '64 440 slant 6 904 trans . I plan on upgrading to a v8 in the future and I have picked up a push bottom 727 from a '63 Imperial. Will everything from my 904's push button set up work for the 727?

You'll probably have a problem with the trans shift cable reaching and clearing the exhaust. Try and get the cable off the Imperial if it's not too late. There were three different cables offered at the time. One at 42" for the slant six, one for the 318 which was 44" and 48" for the RB's. I tried the 42" and it was too short to get the correct adjustment. The 44" worked but was difficult to get it awat from the exhaust. The 48" was perfect for my '62 dart 44 727 conversion.

Too late, the car was long gone by the time I got there. They pulled he 413 and trans before getting rid of it.

I did a 64 Dodge 330 slant six auto, to 440 and a 63 727, and original /6 cables worked just fine.
